The Osan Incident by Abm Producciones

This  movie was discvered by the FSM Board only in February 2012.  It presents an engaging story, a  fictional account of a surprise air attack on USAF forces at Osan Air Base near Seoul, South Korea, during the Korean War...and the aftermath.  At 30 minutes in duration, the Story is introduced by, and followed by, extensive credits to all the many persons involved in such a complex production. At the very end, a few laughs can be had watching the "Blooper Reel".




Checkertails, Star of Altoona by Mysticpuma

"Star of Altoona" is an excerpt from Part I of a two-part documentary movie "Checkertails" which features the history of the USAAF 325th Fighter Group. "Checkertails, Part I" details the Fighter Group's history during its P-40 and P-47 era, 1942-1944.  This excerpt and the full length movie incorporate never before seen WWII film footage, interviews with veteran 325th pilots, as well as superb IL-2 derived CGI scenes depicting a variety of aerial combat events. "Checkertails, Part I" has a running time of 1 hour and 40 minutes and can be viewed at blip.tv

This documentary movie depicts the US Navy response, and the fate of the Yamato.

A documentary movie depicting the events surrounding the final flight and death of Major Edward ‘Mick’ Mannock, the highest scoring British Ace of World War I.  Details of times, locations and involved flyers of both sides are presented in great detail.  This is one of a series of documentary movies on the deaths of the most famous WWI fighter pilots, others being “Death of Werner Voss” and “Death of the Red Baron”.  This movie makes excellent use of the WWI Flight Simulation “Rise of Flight”.

Part of a series of documentary movies covering the aerial conflict during the Spanish Civil War of  1936-1939. Combining IL2 footage with real locations and human actors, this an impressive technical achievement.  The actual filming location is the very same location as the wartime Els Monjos Aerodrome depicted.

In this MTV style Music Video, a pilot in the 21st Century takes off in a restored WWII Russian MiG-3 fighter aircraft for a simple test flight. Mysteriously he encounters a time hole and is transported back in time with surprising developments. This movie is unique in its mixing and editing of live WWII documentary footage, contemporary film footage, and IL2 game captures, while also incorporating exceptional chroma keying techniques for inserting human actors into the action.
